Continuing to explore pivotal moments in human cultural and evolutionary development, such as the advent of fire, wrestling, and opera, Michael investigated the origins of mass-produced clothing and textiles through weaving. This exploration gently questioned the narratives of craftsmanship, heritage, and industrialization's impact on everyday materials. The resulting woven textile pieces prompted reflection on textiles as a significant aspect of cultural development, although, at the time, no particularly compelling lines of inquiry emerged for Michael.
