An unrealised work

The screen is dark, showing a night scene with the tree line barely visible against the sky. Perhaps there's a moon hidden behind the clouds. Everything below the tree line is indistinct and black. The only sounds are the wind and the occasional strike of flint on steel. Every so often, a spark appears.

Finally, a spark catches. The tinder bundle ignites, briefly lighting the artist's face in the glow of success.

At this moment, the artist remains in the ongoing struggle of the attempt.
